Most of the weddings I photograph in Serbia happen in and around Belgrade — in the city’s historic interiors, in hotels on the main squares, and at private venues half an hour outside it. I live here, which means no travel day, and no guessing about the light, the traffic or the way a wedding here actually runs.

Serbia as a destination
A good number of the couples I photograph in Serbia come from somewhere else — one of them was born here, or the family is, or they simply liked the idea of a wedding in a country their guests had never been to. It works because the flights are short from most of Europe, the venues have not been photographed a thousand times, and the day tends to run long and generously.
Weddings from Serbia
A city wedding in Belgrade, and another at Hotel Moskva in the centre of town. More about how I work on destination weddings across Europe, and about me.

Divčibare
Two hours from Belgrade the country turns to mountain — meadows full of wild narcissus in late spring, green hills folding away to the horizon, and enough space that a couple can stand alone in the frame. Serbia does not only mean the city.
