One wedding, two venues, ten minutes apart. The same couple, the same afternoon — and two rooms that could not be less alike.

Salon 1905

A marble staircase between two statues, a gilded ceiling above it and enough room at the foot of it for a gown to be opened out properly. The most striking wedding interior in Belgrade, and the reason most of these photographs needed no arranging.

Hotel Bristol

Later the same day, ten minutes away: wood panelling, bookshelves, floral wallpaper and lamplight. Where Salon 1905 is grand, Bristol is close and warm — and a dress photographs differently in each.
