I am based in Serbia and I travel for weddings. Over the years that has meant Italy, Montenegro, Germany, Switzerland, Greece, Malta and Cyprus \u2014 and, outside Europe, Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weddings that cross borders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many of these weddings involve couples from two different countries, families who don\u2019t share a language, and guests flying in from several of them. That changes how a day has to be photographed: there are more arrivals, more small groups, and more that happens in parallel. After fifteen years of it, I plan for that rather than react to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before the day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Long before the wedding we go through the timeline together \u2014 where the light will be at the hour you have chosen, how much time the portraits actually need, and which parts of the day you would rather not have interrupted. Most of the work that makes a wedding easy to photograph happens in that conversation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the day<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Minimal posing and no constant direction. I photograph quietly and stay out of the way, which matters more on a destination wedding than anywhere else \u2014 these are people who have travelled a long way to be together, and the day should belong to them, not to a camera.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Working with planners<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A large part of these weddings comes through planners, and I am used to working inside someone else\u2019s timeline without pulling at it. There is a page for planners<\/a> with how that collaboration usually goes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Where I have photographed<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In Europe: Serbia<\/a>, Italy<\/a>, Montenegro<\/a>, a wedding where everything was white<\/a>, a Greek wedding celebrated in Germany<\/a>, and a wedding in Switzerland<\/a>. Outside Europe, several days photographing a couple across Dubai<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Questions couples ask before they book<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Do you travel outside Europe?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Yes. Most of these weddings are in Europe, and outside it I have photographed in Dubai. I travel from Serbia and arrive the day before, so the wedding day never depends on a flight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How is travel charged?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Separately from the photography, and kept simple: one photographer, no crew to accommodate and no lighting rigs in your ceremony. You get the quote before you decide anything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Do you work with wedding planners?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

How early should we write?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

As soon as you have a date and a place. One wedding a weekend is the limit, so dates in the high season go early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
